White scale

The white scale (Pseudococcus citriculus) is an insect pest plants.
His attacks come in the form of white patches of cottony aspect. The insect itself remains hidden, but shows itself from time to time. Moving very slowly, it looks like a small white woodlouse (up to 2 mm long).
By contact insecticides are not very effective with this scale because it hides in its cotton insecticide that can not cross. It is possible to use so-called systemic insecticides: they mix with the irrigation water, and then enter the plant to operate in the sap to poison pests.
