Aphids

Aphids are small insects less than 2 to 3 mm long, soft-bodied, often pear-shaped. They have long thin antennae and the tip of the abdomen, a pair of small projections called cornicles (which secrete pheromones to warn other aphids in a hazard). Their color is highly variable. Some are green, others yellow, blue, red or black. Winged aphids have 4 transparent wings, raised roof over the abdomen at rest, but often did not wing aphids.
